Grass Verges
Reported anonymously at 16:08, Wed 27 February 2008
Sent to Adur District Council and West Sussex County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 17019.
Deep ruts on the grass verge here, and on the corner of Connaught Avenue and Colville Avenue, caused by large vehicles driving over the grass, and spoiling its appearance for many weeks, time after time.

We have been told that the grass will be reseeded on the marked site, and will watch carefully until the weather is suitable for it to be done.
The Colville Avenue corner will be left as traffic conditions make it inevitable that grass will not survive there.Posted anonymously at 16:49, Wed 26 March 2008

The grass has not been reseeded yet.
I didn`t think I had reported this "anonymously". We received a phone call from somebody at the County Council, and also from the local council!Posted anonymously at 18:27, Wed 23 April 2008

Very helpful sounding phone call from local council office, but not followed up. Easier to find and pay office staff than garden/landscape workers? Natural grass growth is partially obscuring the damage now, and probably vehicles too large for the road will continue to bulldoze their way through by damaging the verge again if it is repaired. A lot of news at the moment about another verge nearby where protected wild flowers on Mill Hill verges have been destroyed by council workers.
