Lack of street sweeping and litter picking from gutters

Reported in the Street Cleansing category anonymously at 05:08, Friday 19 July 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council 1 minute later

From the shops around Penge East then all along Lennard Road to Maitland Road needs a thorough clean. The pavements needs sweeping (the full width) and litter needs to be picked from the gutters. There’s lots of dog poo, general grime and dirt and bits of litter in the gutters which have been there for weeks. Every day I’ve been walking past the same rubbish for at least three weeks so not sure if you only clean when the residents complain or your contractors have forgotten we exist?

  • I’ve just walked back from the station past the same bits of rubbish in the gutters and dog poo on the pavement so I dont think it has been cleaned?

  • Why do you mark the report as fixed when you have only notified the contractor they need to return? Surely it should be when they’ve returned and taken action?
