Cutting of wildflower verges around Abingdon

Reported in the Grass category anonymously at 12:11, Wed 17 July 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1699494.

Why is the council wasting money and destroying the wildflower verges along the roadsides, at the roadside along the back of the army camp towards the Marcham junction the council has mown off the beautiful wild flowers, destroying the habitat, why? Please do not cut the verges along Honeybottom Lane, there are orchids growing amongst other flowers.

Council ref: ENQ19838165
