Damaged gate in Staddlestones play area

Reported in the Play area safety issue category anonymously at 11:16, Wednesday 17 July 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 4 minutes later

Good afternoon, I wish to advise that one of the gates to the actual children's play area lacks an automatic closure hinge. This allows for dogs to enter the area when they are unsupervised. Please could this matter be rectified swiftly, in advance of its increased usage in the upcoming school holidays.

  • 10.08.2019. I see that one gate has been replaced which is great, however it is the other gate, closest to the swings, that needed replacement. It divides the 'playground' field from the middle field. It would be great if this one could be repaired or replaced as swiftly as the other one. Many thanks.

  • This is STILL an issue. It was reported before Redfield road was resurfaced and was even mentioned to the highways Engineer/Supervisor whilst the works were being carried out. Winter will be here before we know it and it will only get worse.
