Traffic Rat Run, horrendous tailbacks affecting all residents

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 18:07, Friday 12 July 2019

Sent to Ealing Borough Council 2 minutes later

I am approaching yourselves as Ealing council seems to be shrouded in endless red tape. I am bringing this to your attention in case no one else has. Traffic in Northolt has been using certain roads as a rat run. Turning off of Ruislip rd (A4180) and cutting through residential roads Hawtrey Ave, on to Laughton Road, on to Bengarth Road out on to Church Road (A312). Residents cannot use these roads to get to Lidl, Tesco, B&M etc as the traffic is so heavy, everything comes to a halt, not to mention the absolute build up of pollutants this creates with obvious detrimental effects to the residents. I am bringing this to your attention as I am not sure any other residents have. Petitioning the residents seems the obvious next step. I think there is a video showing the tailback of traffic on these residential roads (must be a mile long)
