Unsafe crossing point for school children

Reported anonymously at 13:47, Fri 12 July 2019

Sent to Wycombe District Council 3 minutes later

There is no safe place for school children to cross the A40. The pavement to cross to from the Whitehouse Lane side is very narrow and is grass with a metal barrier opposite a car dealership. The road is 40mph and serves numerous school buses this means children have to cross this road with no safety measures in place and no safe crossing area to use. Please could you look into improving the pavements and providing traffic calming or pedestrian crossing to make this a safer place for children to cross? I have previously reported this issue but it has been removed so am reporting again.

  • This problem has been made worse by additional signage being put up by the dealership. This makes it more difficult to see to turn onto the A40 and in addition more difficult to cross safely from one side of the A40 to the other. Reporting again as school children are crossing here every week day. There isn't a safe place to cross the A40 in this location which really needs to be addressed. Please could you look into this as a matter of urgency?
