Highly dangerous driving
Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 09:58, Friday 12 July 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 1693803.
This fatal speeding needs to be addressed. Around 70% of vehicles driving along this stretch of Station Road towards the station are driving at top speeds in both directions. Pedestrians are in great danger if they cross over or emerge from round any of the corners at the wrong time. These cars are recklessly doing 0-60 in seconds along this "speed track" from the carpark area to the T junction and vice versa. ****A speed camera is required as a matter of urgency****
Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed onto the relevant team for investigation.

This really is urgent.
Are you not concerned for the children's safely when cars are speeding down Station Road in Henley when there is a nursery at the end?
Quick and easy fix would be to make sure the 20mph sign opposite the station is replaced and facing the right way.
Cars speed down that road and with the nursery at the end, it really is an accident waiting to happen.
Also, the speed bump/raised part of the road towards the end of Station Road before the private industrial estate is where both wheelchairs and buggies cross over to the centre pathway and cars are parking directly on this raised section of the road? Please can you put a 'no parking' sign here as crossing this road is terribly hazardous when cars are parked here.
Thank you for your attention on this. Louisa Jackley-Davis

Thank you for your report and apologies for the delay in response. We have investigated this and we have found the sign you are referring to. We will need to speak to the relevant team to establish who the owner of the signage is. Having also looked at the speed bump we will also need to speak to the relevant team to further establish a potential to produce future programmed works
