Speeding along Edinburgh Avenue is becoming a real issue. I've lived on Lime Avenue for two years now and it has gotten noticeably worse. The road is busiest in the morning and early-late evening. I believe it's a through road for anyone travelling from Clarkes Lane/Stroud Avenue towards Bloxwich Lane, to avoid speed bumps along Poplar Avenue. There aren't any speed bumps along Attlee Road or Edinburgh Avenue. The road has to be crossed both ways by younger and older kids morning and afternoon travelling to and from primary and high school. I live on the end of Lime Avenue, I can hear every car that accelerates hard along Edinburgh Avenue, regular squealing tyres from turning so fast and hard onto Lime Avenue or Princess Anne Road. As I'm typing, I've noted ten vehicles clearly tanking it up or down Edinburgh Ave in the last half an hour (now 9pm). Not only is just a matter of time before someone is killed (anyone run over at these speeds won't stand a chance), but the excess noise alone is tiresome.
