Small green space between Chipstead Close and Anerley Grove (the area with a path running between the two streets and approx 5 dwellings) and is overgrown, litter strewn (inc a dead animal skull), street light blocked by overgrown trees...

Locals have started to tidy up and begun cut back after years of being overlooked by the Council services but area is long overdue a proper cutback by the council contractors who when they do pop along do no more than a cursory mow of the grass unfortunately but completely ignore the overgrown vegetation and weeds - cartons, bottles, cans, abandoned Xmas tress are all in the foliage. A tidy up is long overdue... and the trees are so overgrown that the main street light on that little row of houses next to the pathway is ineffective at night due to being obscured by branches. More pics available... just ask.

  • THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN FIXED Job Auto Email Alert sent through stating this as FIXED but work required to tidy this area up has simply NOT been carried out and still needing to be done includes..

    - Litter and old abandoned Xmas Trees STILL clearly visible under shrubs that have not been cut back as required (see pic) - All of the overgrown shrubs need pruning back - Trees need low branches pruning back - one tree's branches is obscuring only street light on path (seee pic) - Poison Ivy creeping along the ground needs pruning back - Waste piled up from cutback carried out by local people purely out of desperation of this green are NOT being maintained regularly by the council needs to be taken away and disposed of (see pic)

Photos have been taken AFTER job email alert saying work carried out and problem 'FIXED' - Pictures prove otherwise.

  • You email to say this has been FIXED, box ticked, etc. It hasn't been fixed at all. The green waste is still there. Litter is still clearly under the overgrown shrubs, the poison ivy is still coming off the fence down into the area and spreading across the ground, the street light is still blocked out by the overgrown trees. No, this hasn't been fixed at all. In fact, from what I can see 'appropriate action in this case appears to equal... sweet FA. Must do better Bromley Council - this is just simply not good enough. Lame. Lazy. Ineffectual. Get your contractors to do the job properly. As Council Tax payers we're certainly paying enough for the job to be done every once in a while. And stop sending me emails saying you've fixed it when you or rather your contractors have actually done absolutely nothing to resolve the issues raised. Rubbish. Literally. The pics were taken a day after the email stating this was all done was received. Clearly just absolutely untrue.
