Excessively overgrown hedgerows

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 12:12, Wednesday 10 July 2019

Sent to Kent County Council 3 minutes later

Going west, in between the level crossing and the end of Whitehall Road, the hedges are very overgrown. KCC cut back the verges up to the level crossing but then stopped. Why? This job wasn't done last year, so now the hedges are running amok. No sign of the the verges! This needs the tractor with cutter attachment.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • Kent Highways' contractors did a really good job. They really got stuck in and addressed not just the overhanging foliage but the boughs, saplings and shrubs which caused it. Only problem, now the verges are clear,is the amount of litter/rubbish which has been exposed! Not the contractors' fault. Great bunch of guys
