This currently dried out stream area is adjacent to Tesco Petrol Station full of litter and fly tipping. This area is in front of what used to be Tescos Garden Centre.

Sent to Vale of White Horse District Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1680472.
This mess has obviously been there for some time but need clearing before the water levels start rising again and it all potentially floats off to who knows where.

This area belongs to Tesco, Marcham Road, Abingdon OX14 1TU, and it has been established by the Council that is their responsibility to keep clear of litter and waste, much of which is the result of their (Tesco’s) Garden Centre closing and all the plastic and other waste they didn’t want being discarded. As usual I have had to contact Tesco more than once about this issue. I will keep doing so until they take responsibility.

I have contacted Tesco’s Head Office and also the CEO or PA to them many times about this issue. Bottom line is that Tesco don’t care. They don’t care that one of their outlets, in this case, their garden centre closed and left numerous plastic flower tubs and rubbish around the perimeters of the stream, which then feel into it. They don’t care that this stream, at the moment dried up, will soon fill with water again and all the litter and waste will be washed away and ultimately end up in our waterways and seas. Tesco care about making money...nothing else.

Nothing has changed and Tesco has not made any attempt to clear this area of litter. Shocking lack of respect for environment and wildlife. Another case of do as we say but not as we do!
