Tree Needs Pruning

Reported in the Public Trees category anonymously at 16:28, Sun 30 June 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council 2 minutes later

The tree in the road between numbers 8 and 10 Eastbury Road very much needs pruning. It is very dense and affects the light. There is overhanging branches over the pavement and berries on the tree are making a mess on the pavement.

  • We were disappointed to see what little pruning had been done to the tree. As soon as Spring comes and the leaves return it will be as dense and light affecting as it was before. The amount of pruning by your contractors must have been minimal. The roots have started coming through the pathway. You had to remove the paving stones because the roots were raising these and laid tarmac. This is now breaking up as the roots come through which will become a trip hazard. The tree roots are now so high on the grass verge that with some cars the passengers cannot open the door to get out of their car or climb over it. This does need to be reviewed.

  • The tree was just crown lifted so people could walk past without being hit by branches.

    Thank you
