Drains full again
Reported in the Street Cleansing category anonymously at 14:34, Fri 28 June 2019
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1677702.
High street. 2x footpath drains on corner near tkmax 1x road drain in lay-by outside tkmax
I reported these several years ago, whilst the footpath drains where cleared I was told there was a pipe issue with these and the road drain. Nothing was ever done but all 3 are full right up and caused flooding after the rain the other week.

Thank you for your report. An LBB Neighbourhood Officer will be meeting with a representative of the Highway's contractor ASAP. When confirmed, this will be to walk out and earmark all rainwater gullies that require an adhoc clean and jet in this vicinity. Any issues with the connection at this pinpointed location will be revisited and passed to Highways with any recommendations for repair. Kind regards. LBB Neighbourhood Officer Bromley Town. 10/07/19

Thank you for your requested update. A recent cleanse and visual inspection with a push rod has been completed recently. As of now, an additional cleanse and CCTV investigation will be carried out for a required asset surveyance. This will pinpoint precisely where a fault lies and will be carried out ASAP. The current lead time is up to three weeks. The work at this location will be in conjunction with other CCTV investigation required in a nearby road and will be collated to utilise maximum use of the drainage tanker, whilst in the vicinity. Kind regards. NO5 11/12/19

Thank you for your update. The footway gullies do have some small inevitable deposits of litter and detritus in the shallow gully pot, however the rainwater does currently flow and soak away through them currently. They are not currently compacted with silt preventing any rainwater flow. We will be requesting a cyclical clean and jet for this section of the High Street (both sides) in due course, when it is next scheduled. Kind regards. NO5 8/01/20

As outlined in the update earlier this afternoon the drains have been inspected and while there is some minor detritus rainwater is currently flowing through them as expected. The drains will be attended on a next scheduled cyclic clean. This report is now closed as no further action is to be taken on it.
