No dropped kerb

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 19:57, Wed 26 June 2019

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

The occupants of number 45 Elbow Lane are parking their car on hard standing in their front garden but have no dropped kerb. As you walk along the pavement their car could run you down as no dropped kerb means that you have no idea that a car could suddenly cross the pavement. Why do some people ignore planning and think that they are above the law?

Updates

  • Another property that has not applied for a dropped kerb, they cross the pavement in their vehicle and park on hard standing. As a complainant you are passed between council departments without the issue being resolved until you give up protesting.

  • Rebecca Elliott is the Chief Planning officer who has refused me planning permission for a dropped kerb and drive but allows other householders to park off road without even applying for permission.
