Overhanging trees dangerously overgrown
Reported anonymously at 16:01, Mon 24 June 2019
Sent to Halton Borough Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1672547.
The trees either side of Windmill Hill Avenue East near to the speed camera haven’t been trimmed for years. They are so large now that they almost meet in the middle over the roadway. The lower hanging branches are starting to catch taller vehicles. Many branches and twigs end up in the roadway. This is a safety issue. Also when it’s raining the run-off water from the trees keeps the road surface wet for a long time after the rain stops.

Got a reply from the council stating that, due to budget constraints and other priorities, they will look at this issue during routine maintenance. Problem is, there are falling branches on a daily basis now

Still not gone. Reported 3months ago. I appreciate that it’s just my opinion that these trees are a hazard, but if you just look at them you can see the problem. Not impressed with the council at all.
