Recently there has been an doublefold in traffic on Bassett Green Road due to a large housing development in Stoneham. This has caused an increase in lorries which are clearly speeding down a 40MPH road including late at night and early in morning. This has been further exacerbated by a man hole cover directly outside my house (152/154 Bassett Green Road) been deeply set into the newly laid road covering and due to the location of said man hole cover it's in line with lorry wheels (car's are slimmer and there mainly avoid the deep trench). When a fast lorry hits this it creates a huge amount of noise as the trailers rattle around and more importantly it shakes the house. We have started to find hairline cracks appear around the house and I am worried this will start to cause long term damage to the house. The noise is also causing sleeping problems. Speed, noise and vibrations.
