Bad bumpy road surface

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 11:08, Sun 23 June 2019

Sent to West Sussex County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1670940.

Approach to the roundabout from Perrymount road extremely bumpy and rough. As a cyclist, you are unable to take a hands off handlebars to indicate intendid direction to other traffic as you will likely lose control possibly causing an accident.

Updates

  • This has not been fixed. There is still a large dip approaching the roundabout by the station right where you would only have one hand on the handlebar due to signalling with the other. Definitely a recipe for a crash. Email from Highways - 'Thank you for your enquiry regarding Perrymount Road. This is inspected on a monthly basis and any defects found to intervention levels will be raised for repairs. Kind Regards WSCC'.
