Dangerous pedestrian crossing!

Alcester road/ Brunel Way juction is busy for both motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians! Can the pedestrian crossing be made any safer? It bothers me how many near misses I have seen at this junction with pedestrians walking with the railway station and railway bridge behind them, ignoring the crossing designation and walking in front of vehicles turning Left, down Alcester road and into Brunel Way. I am a Paramedic working locally its a matter of time before an pedestrian impact occurs here.
