Poor quality reinstatement workmanship

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Mark T at 12:35, Monday 10 June 2019

Sent to Kent County Council 6 minutes later

On a crossover between 80 & 86 Yeates Drive there are 4 stopcock covers & 1 cable TV cover which have all sunk, with the stopcock covers being the worst thanks to a recent repair to a leaking pipe. No heavy vehicles cross this crossover, just private cars. As an employee of a company who carry out road & and footway condition surveys, these fall way short of acceptable standards of workmanship/condition with regard to UKPMS. The utility companies need to be contacted & requested to carry out remedial action to rectify the poor quality of their workmanship & adequate checks should be made to make sure the required standards are met.

  • The workmen left around 1330 after doing what can best be described as a temporary repair, still not very level & didn't touch the cable tv cover, which is also not very level!

  • They came & attempted to level the covers but it's not much different to before!
