Cars Parking In Bus Stops - Westferry Road, E14
Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 16:50, Fri 7 June 2019
Sent to Tower Hamlets Borough Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1652314.
Cars are now parking in the bus stop and on the pavement of Westferry Road (by the corner of Cuba Street) to use Tesco Express' cash machine (see photograph taken 7.6.19). Illegally parked cars are causing dangerous obstructions to vulnerable and visually-impaired pedestrians as they block the pavement and cause the buses to swerve and stop too great a distance from the pavement. Passengers are therefore having to embark/disembark the bus via the gutter and across the carriageway! Also, the flow of traffic along Westferry Road is constantly being obstructed by illegally parked vehicles and parking wardens are never seen in this area. The new railings along Westferry Road by the Landmark building are useful, but please can something be done to stop the cars parking further down the street and on the pavement as they access the cash machine. As at 7.6.19.
