Flytipping by Quaterdeck - Westferry Road, E14

Reported in the Flytipping category anonymously at 16:35, Fri 7 June 2019

Sent to Tower Hamlets Borough Council 6 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1652292.

Flytipping of domestic and textile waste by the clothing and recycling bins under the trees just south of the Quaterdeck on Westferry Road, E14. These bins (which include a purple TH Council recycling bin) are constantly overflowing with rubbish and are not emptied frequently enough. This is encouraging residents to dump piles of food/domestic waste and discarded clothing next to the bin on a daily basis. Please could the council and the owners of the clothing bins (who presumably have been given permission/licence to be there by TH Council?) coordinate more regular collections from this area. Perfectly usable clothes, textiles and other recycling are being contaminated by the adjacent dumped domestic waste and therefore will have to be sent to land fill, instead of being recycled. As at 7.6.19.
