Dangerous Mini traffic Island - Markings Worn away

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 09:11, Wed 5 June 2019

Sent to Leicestershire County Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1649397.

The mini traffic island at the junction of Barrow Road & Loughborough Road in Quorn has become excessively dangerous due to traffic travelling at high speed along the Loughborough Road (mainly from the Loughborough direction)and ignoring/not seeing the Traffic Island where they should Give Way to other traffic on the island. This is partly due to the deterioration of the white road markings which need to be repainted.

Additional "SLOW" and Give Way signage, or speed humps would also greatly help.

Other vehicles and pedestrians are presently "at risk". This is frequently crossed by school children
