Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 09:30, Thursday 30 May 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 1643700.
There is a huge yellow traffic sign for warning of congestion due to the road race which was held 2 weeks ago. This huge sign is in the middle of the road between St Aldates police station and the Court. Surely after 2 weeks someone could take it down. It is an unnecessary eyesore!!
Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed onto the relevant team for investigation.

The huge sign is still there advertising an event which took place over 3 weeks ago. In your previous reply to me on May 30th you wrote that the sign would be removed. Is this ever likely to happen?

This is the 3rd time I have reported the sign for the event on May 11th. So it has been up for nearly 5 weeks. IT is disgraceful that no one has removed it and gives a bad impression to visitors travelling into Oxford. It is an eye sore. Please get it removed.

I have reported this 3 times and written to the CC twice and the sign was still up yesterday June 24th. Please could you arrange for it to be taken down. It gives a terrible impression to visitors and is an eyesore on St Aldates
