Dog Fouling

Every week we find dog waste right in front of our front hedge. It seems to be a big dog. Since we are not home during the day, we do not have a clue on who it is, but it seems to be the same dog. We have young children living next door and they come out to play. This is dangerous. We notice every Wednesday night when we put our bins out.
As a matter of fact, the whole of Somerset Avenue suffers from dog fouling all along the road. Hope you can help.

Thank you for your email. I have passed a request to our Street Scene contractors, SITA, to arrange for the dog fouling in Somerset Avenue to be cleared within 24 hours.
As this appears to be an on-going issue, I have sent comments to the Council's Street Scene Officers to make sure that the dog bins nearby (Dalys Parade, Ashingdon Road and Rochford Garden Way Junction with Footpath Outside No. 123) are emptied daily to deter walkers for not clearing up after their pet. Additionally, I have asked for a sign to be delivered to you to put up advising residents to pick up after their dog(s).
I have checked out system and this is the first report we've had of dog fouling in Somerset Avenue this year. If further offence happens, please feel free to let Customer Services know on 01702 318111 or customerservices@rochford.gov.uk and we will arrange clearance within 24 hours of it being reported. We rely on residents letting us know of problem areas as they arise.
