Roads/highways

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 17:38, Tue 28 May 2019

Sent to Leicestershire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1642123.

Lorries, cars and vans belonging to the business being run from 97 Burleigh Ave are clogging our streets around the junction of Westfield Avenue, Burleigh Avenue, Barnby Avenue and The Crescent. Vehicles are being moved around to 'save a place for the lorries and trailers, the swap-around being carried out mainly AT the corner of Westfield Ave - a dog-leg junction. Frequently vehicles are loaded/unloaded onto and from one lorry to another and sometimes roadside repairs are carried out. Crucially, two of the vehicles have been identified as having CCTV installed. Is this acceptable in an area so close to a primary school? It's to be hoped that the business owner has the correct licences for all employees, planning permission etc relating to the size of the lorries. For some years there has been no concern showed for the neighbourhood. It's about time something changed.
