Sent to Hertfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
The road surface on the corner of Chells Lane near the entrance to Chells Manor is extremely warn due to the volume of vehicles using this single track road - it has progressively got worse over the last 6 months. Unfortunately this stretch of single lane road is also used as a public footpath so the uneven and broken surface is hazard for both pedestrians and vehicles. There are 2 particular areas where the road has holes severals inches deep and a large ramp to newer tarmac that was repaired by the council around 2 years ago. There is a lot of loose stones spread across the road. The problem is made worse by refuse lorries and delivery vans regularly turning in this area.
