Ealing Council - Consistently failing residents in Hanwell! And what's worse, local residents don't seem to care.

Since moving into Hanwell back in July 2018, I have noticed Ealing Council's lack of resolve and sheer inability to rectify the issues within my local area. It has come to my attention that Hanwell, unlike any other area in Ealing, has a massive problem with litter. My goodness, it's literally everywhere! The problem is so bad that I've spent many hours over the last 11 months picking up litter along my road, Townholm Crescent, and the surrounding area. What makes matters worse is that some residents don't properly secure their household waste on a Sunday when they put it out for collection, and so the one of the foxes who lives nearby rips open several bags of rubbish (which I have gone out and cleaned up before), spewing more rubbish all over the road. I think both residents and the council should take more responsibility for the cleanliness of Hanwell, as it seems as it the entire population of this area takes no pride in where they live. I'm not blaming anyone in particular, I just feel more needs to be done to make Hanwell a cleaner place.

  • I forgot to add, isn't it embarrassing how in 1904 the Hanwell end of Boston Road looks cleaner than it is today! (See picture for reference).
