Overgrown bushes and trees

Sent to Hull City Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1636229.

Bushes and trees are covering a large section of the path, at one point you have to walk on the kerb to get passed. This is on Mount Pleasant path between the roundabout and the car sales

  • It's on the opposite side to Reckitt Benckiser. It also continues round the up to the Zebra crossing.

  • Due to nesting season for birds, overgrown vegetation will not take place between 1st March - 31st July

  • If the council checked bushes and trees near to paths regularly this wouldn’t have got to this state, it is now affecting people’s safety as the have to go close to the kerb edge to pass the area.

  • This problem still hasn't been sorted, I was ammused to see in the local paper that the council had asked a resident to cut their bush back, as it was covering the path, looking at the photo of this article it was only covering about a foot of the path and the council have quoted 'The council has a duty under the Highways Act 1980 to ensure highways are clear for use, including those in wheelchairs, with prams or are visually impaired' last week I was close to a bus and a lorry as I passed the place I have reported month ago !!
