Double yellow lines need extending to first drop curb

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 12:07, Tuesday 21 May 2019

Sent to Thurrock Borough Council 3 minutes later

Although there were double yellow lines added to the corner of Hillcrest Road, it would be far safer to extend them to the first drop curb along the High Road. Driving out of the village towards the B1007 along South Hill/High Road/North Hill, there is no space to pull in should someone be coming up North Hill and along the High Road. There is often a vehicle (legally) parked on the end of Hillcrest and High Road which is exactly where it would be appropriate to pull in. It would help for those pulling out of Hillcrest not have a vehicle parked there as they don't have much chance to spot a vehicle approaching from the right on High Road. Coming back into the village from B1007 means having to stop quite suddenly if a vehicle is coming down from after Vincent Avenue. I was not able to report this on my Thurrock log in as there is no choice to report Road issues like this.
