A drop kerb is needed in Whiteleys Close pavement and a cycle path marking to connect the existing cycle path ending at the zebra crossing in front of the lorry gates to Station Road.

I previously reported that the new Orchard Center layout had made cycling worse, and that it didn't appear that way in the original plan. The planning officer checked the site and confirmed that the construction was as specified in an amendment to the plan.
Why this wasn't rectified during planning I have no idea, and I wouldn't hold out for the council to pay for remedial work from their own budget.

A non material amendment application to incluide alterations to the car parking bays and cycle path layout was granted under P16/S2828/NM. Therefore no breach of planning control has occurred and the case has been closed.

Thank you for your report. I have spoke to various department including the road agreements team and apparently it was not something that Oxfordshire County Council would have looked at, as it was not part of, or directly connected to the highway. They also said we don't have any leverage or authority in this instance to force any alterations. As the highway authority we have no powers over private land if it's being used/was built in accordance with the planning conditions. It would have been for the planning authority (in this case South Oxfordshire District Council) to deal with this and they have given you their response. In this situation it would appear to be down to the goodwill of the freeholder(s) to make any alterations to improve it's utility and safety. Sorry I have been unable to help you with this matter, this report is now closed.
