Broken manhole cover on Belvedere Road, SE1 7PY

Reported in the Manhole category by Eamonn Evans at 16:21, Tue 14 May 2019

Sent to Oxford City Council 4 minutes later

The manhole cover was lifted up by a BT man installing fibre optic cables (as he said) and dropped it down suddenly causing it to break. Maintenance staff at County Hall Apartments covered it to make safe. The cover itself just needs to be replaced. Please contact Eamonn Evans at porters.lodge@countyhall.org and I can email to you the full incident report made at the time. The photos will show damage done and safety measures I put in place. Thank you.
