Trees block view of road making dangerous

Reported via iOS in the Trees category anonymously at 10:16, Tue 14 May 2019

Sent to New Forest District Council 4 minutes later

When crossing over at this point to walk to school with 3 young children, we have no safe view of the oncoming traffic.. I have to take 3 steps into the road in order to get a view and have to leave children on the pavement waiting for me to give the all clear! I regularly stand in the middle on the island shouting at them to stay on the pavement, then have to tell them when it’s safe to cross! If we can’t see the cars till they’re 5 meters away then they also can’t see us! This is such a dangerous and fast stretch of road, with very few cars sticking to the 30MPH speed limit! A death waiting to happen Either the trees need cutting completely back or a mirror needs putting on the fence opposite giving us a view down the road!

  • This apparently isn’t the responsibility of the NFDC so nothing will get done now till someone is killed
