Clearer signallng required to help confused pedestrians

Pedestrians are confused by traffic flow and lights. They frequently start crossing because they see traffic halted (in Brunel Way) without knowing that it is also able to turn in from Alcester Road. Seen lots of very close shaves... esp from visitors arriving by train. This situation is also true at the other end of this road, where Western Road joins Birmingham Road. The crossing by MacDonalds also confuses pedestrians who see traffic stopped (Brunel Way) but don't realise it can turn in from the main road direction. Clearer signalling required before there is a serious accident!
