Raised Ironwork

Reported in the Gully or manhole defect category anonymously at 18:28, Wed 8 May 2019

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 3 minutes later

There are SIX raised manhole covers at regular intervals on Sutherland Drive, Bedworth. They are causing potential damage to the suspension of my car, even at 25-30 MPH. Also, in an attempt to partially avoid them, that course of action takes me onto the opposite side of the road into oncoming traffic - dangerous!

  • Hello - the work is still not complete. The problem areas have been marked with blue spray paint, but, we await resolution. Sutherland Drive IS a busy route, so I suspect further planning and temporary traffic lights will need to be deployed. However, I am not a civil engineer but a paying road user and I, along with the wider community expect roads of a 21st century quality.

  • STILL NOT REPAIRED/REMEDIED/RESOLVED.....! The offending zones HAVE been marked with blue spray paint, yet NOTHING has been done! Disgusting, quite frankly, given that this was reported some FOUR months ago, and it has clearly been acknowledged as offending areas of the carriageway that requires remedial work.

Please - Get on with it!
