Faulty pedestrian lights.

Reported in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 17:11, Tue 7 May 2019

Sent to Inverclyde Council 4 minutes later

The pedestrian contolled lights allow access from the library & tourist info area across to the railway station main entrance & car park. Currently the lights are reacting instantly to pedestrian input, i.e. there is no delay between the traffic lights reverting to green & immediately being triggered by pedestrian input. Additionally when the "green man" reverts to red (i.e. pedestrians may not cross) there is an inordinate delay of up to 30 seconds before the witing traffic gets a green light. I suggest there is a failure of the control system parameters coupled with possibly a faulty PIR motion detector on these lights. Please investigate/rectify as it is causing considerable traffic tailbacks even at offpeak times.
