Slurry from drain on footpath

Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 06:26, Mon 6 May 2019

Sent to Mid Sussex District Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1621629.

Alongsieide the A23 is a shared footpath and cyclepath which is covered in wet mud to a depth of about 3 inches in places. It appears to have burst out of a drain cover which is dislodged leaving an albut invisible hole which a child could easily fall into. To avoid this pedestrians will be forced onto the carriageway. This is dangerous and requires immediate attention. There a similar occurrence just to the south east of the petrol station also on the shared use facility, here the mud is drier but deeply scored with cycle tracks leaving a very uneven surface.
