Vehicles parked within 10m of the junction, causing a hazard.

Vehicles parked within 10 mtrs of the junction causing a traffic and potential pedestrian hazard, the yellow lines are not extended to 10m of the corner, vehicles attempting to egress from the junction cannot see on coming traffic. The junction is also used by many children walking to Rodillian School, i have witnessed numerous near misses. I have also checked the planning permission for the housing development, and there was supposed to be no main road parking due to this perceived hazard, all of the housing parking was allocated to the rear of the houses.

  • Received an email from a council employee, who stated that as the car was not parked on the yellow lines there was nothing he could do. It would not have been unreasonable to expect that he could have passed on the issue to a colleague in the highways department, so that they could have actioned the issue, but no. Typical Leeds City Council pass the buck cant think out of the box response.
