Stile on the path. No limitation is recorded on the definitive map and statement. Is there any lawful authority for this stile to be present on the path? Any authorisation under Section 147 Highways Act 1980 would only be valid if the correct procedure had been followed (Section 320 Highways Act 1980). If not, then it is an unlawful obstruction, and its removal must be secured. The Norfolk County Council should not authorise a stile at this location.

Update Friday 18th March 2022: Your enquiry ENQ-330969-V4D0Q8 received on 07/05/2019 12:23:13 regarding Public Rights of Way and Trail Maintenance: Public Rights of Way and Trails has been updated.

New Status: We have inspected and are going to resolve the problem - After investigation we have confirmed action is required. Defects are scheduled for repair depending on the nature of the defect and work needed but on average can take approximately 6 weeks.

Any additional comments the Countryside Access Officer has made relating to this enquiry will be displayed below: landowner contacted. structure not in use, not authorised - set to be removed
