Hogweed growing next to primary school

Reported anonymously at 09:54, Mon 29 April 2019

Sent to Solihull Borough Council 1 minute later

Overgrown weeds running along the pathway on the left of windy arbor school by where the underpass used to be. There looks like there is some hogweed growing within all the overgrown weeds.

This is extremely toxic to human skin in sunlight, making it a danger to public health. Hogweed is said to have been responsible for toxic boil and burns on children who have been hospitalised as a result. Please can this be investigated and removed if it is hogweed ASAP. Thanks

  • Still not been sorted looks like they you did the road side of chester road but not the school side. The white flower parts of the weeds have now came off due to rain and wind but the actual hogweeds are still growing there. Needs a strimmer to come and sort out the lot out. It looks horrible there. The school sorted alot of the walkway out think its about time the council played their part and came and sorted the reat. Not only hogweeds but stinging nettles sticking out, for the kids to get stung going to and from school.
