Vehicle always parked making it very difficult to get on my own driveway

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 20:48, Sunday 28 April 2019

Sent to Bolton Borough Council 1 minute later

I live at number 30 Wayfaring westhoughton bl5 3ut my neighbour across the road at number 29 Wayfaring always parks his vehicle a Citroen c2 04 reg directly opposite the entrance to my private driveway can I also point out that this is also positioned on a bend and also parked on the pavement too meaning pedestrians with prams etc often been to walk in the road just to get past, due to it being parked directly opposite my drive it means I have to complete at least a 3 or 4 point turn just to be able to reverse onto the drive due to the positioning of the vehicle. The other way if I have to reverse off my drive I again have to do a 3 point just to get on the road. There is no possible explanation for always parking there as the neighbour in question has got a very large driveway suitable for 4 vehicles but instead just parks one car directly in the middle of it. This situation has been the same for 5 years and would appreciate this issue resolving.

Updates

  • Also due to the parking of this vehicle recently my next door neighbour whilst trying to reverse off her driveway had the misfortune to hit another vehicle trying to avoid this parked car. It should not be parked on the pavement directly on a bend on a narrow road

  • Nothing will be done about this, no obstruction if it is possible and merely difficult, and obstruction is absolute.

Also no obstruction if accessing private land from the highway, only access to highway from private or the highway itself.
