Blocks of cement on Service Strip

Reported anonymously at 17:22, Fri 26 April 2019

Sent to Norfolk County Council and South Norfolk District Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1613952.

2 neighbours insist on putting large blocks of cement/large rocks on the Service Strips outside their properties. Church Road is a single track road with no pavements and many times a day vehicles need to use the Service Strips to be able to pass each other. Several times my family, other neighbours and I have scraped the underneath of our cars on the smaller of these obstructions. This issue has been present for many years, but I only just found out about Service Strips and obstructing them being illegal

Updates

  • Some have been taken up, the bigger ones. But smaller ones are still on the service strips and not everyone has a high based car to go over them when avoiding oncoming traffic
