At 2.30 this afternoon the driver of a skip lorry registration number RX07 EDP bearing the name Recycled Material Supplies Ltd removed the width restriction post. It had only been replaced yesterday! The post was left lying on the traffic island.

The post has NOT been replaced. We now have HGVs passing freely ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ROAD! Yes, HGVs heading towards Shortlands are passing on the right hand side of the road. Children use the traffic island to cross the road on the way to school, cyclists use the road, and nobody expects to meet an HGV head on. It is an accident waiting to happen.
