Speed hump / safety issue

Reported anonymously at 12:02, Tue 23 April 2019

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1605236.

A speed hump was removed about 4 months ago because it had deteriorated to a point where it was useless. The other rubber speed hump is in place but has also deteriorated and is ineffective. The speed humps are placed either side of the wooden bridge into Hartham Common Car park. As a result of only one ineffective speed hump, a number of cars / lorries are now speeding over the wooden bridge into park car park. There is a nursery 15 yards from the bridge and a number of residents and foot passengers daily, it is now getting very dangerous and fear somebody is going to get hurt if something is not done asap. The speed humps need to be replaced with speed humps that slow the cars down to 5 / 10 miles per hour. I also understand there used to be a sign up with speed limit, but this is no longer in place. Would appreciate your help, this appears to be a priority. Thanks in advance. Gerald..
