Vehicle parked on road restricting access to driveway

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 14:01, Tuesday 16 April 2019

Sent to Epsom and Ewell Borough Council 4 minutes later

This vehicle has parked frequently across my driveway. I am unable to get my vehicle out without going over the curb which is going to damage my vehicle

  • Shortlyafter my complaint a traffic cone was placed next to the curb (I presume by the Epsom and Ewell council) and it definitely helped for a while. Then a few weeks later an irate individual actually parked in the spot and then stole the cone. We have replaced the cone with one we purchased ourselves and have to continuously monitor the situation. I still believe the council needs to paint a double yellow line between the 2 driveways to create a permanent solution and make it an official offence to park there. People think that if they have a small car (eg: Smart car) that it's ok because the car JUST fits between the two driveways - however - this makes it incredibly difficult to enter my driveway as you cannot enter the driveway that way unless you go onto the opposite side of the road to make the turn - any car parked in this space really cuts down the access angle to the driveway.
