Street light bulb not working.

Street light between Hagbourne Close & Croft Way on walkway, not working. Very dangerous in the dark, obviously.

  • Ref: 352193 Thank you for reporting this outage for an Electrical asset maintained by Oxfordshire County Council. Reports of this kind are vital to assist us in keeping the County in light.

    We have logged your report on our asset management system and we hope to get this repaired as soon as possible. Oxfordshire County Council have recently appointed new term maintenance contractors to manage our electrical highway assets within Oxfordshire, however they are currently dealing with a small backlog of outstanding faults from the transition from the old contractor to the new. Our aim is to get as many faults as possible rectified, however this will be based on an area approach. Apologies for any inconvenience caused while this asset is out of operation.

  • This street light has been replaced with a perthetic low wattage bulb. It Does not light up any of the pathway. Please can a higher voltage bulb be put in

  • Many thanks for your report and sorry to hear that this is still causing issue. Due to the current lamp parts becoming obsolete with manufacturers now soloely looking at LED products we have used Phillips new lamp for this style of lantern. I have sent the report back and will see if we can get a different lamp or lantern installed. Appreciate the report and sorry again that this hasnt worked as expected. New fault number is 00352394
