Unauthorised advertising on highway--controversial and distracting to drivers--unlawful and highway safety concern

Reported in the Flyposting category anonymously at 08:05, Tue 2 April 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxford City Council 5 minutes later

A number of signs have been put up on highway verges and trees without advertising consent or highways consent. These are likely to cause distraction to passing traffic and increase risk to highway users. They are also of a controversial content, which is likely to stoke emotions, and they relate to a campaign that was found by the Electoral Commission to have broken electoral law. Please can you ensure these are removed for the public good. Thanks.
