South Park not getting cleaned up at end of day

LItter and food all over South Park. Why does this park have so few litter bins and such an issue with getting cleaned up properly? Same items have been there since Saturday.
We are litter picking South Parks aprox 4 times per week extra than we were doing 3 years ago to try and keep on top of things which then puts an added pressure on another area of our service.
Our colleagues in Parks are responsible for installing litter bins, several surveys have been done over the years which has included the Friends of South Park volunteer group, some bins have been removed and some added in better places, but it is believed that the provision is correct if we can get everyone to use them, especially the large wheely bins near the Morrel Avenue entrance.

Thank you - I appreciate the efforts, but if the same bits of litter are there, then somebody is perhaps not doing their job effectively? Also, if other areas of the service are suffering, clearly more staff are needed. Is this something that is being worked on?
Re: the bins, I find it hard to believe the set-up is optimal at present given many of the benches do not have any bins near them, which is where people gather.

Thank you for your observations ,we will get our Supervisors to monitor the litter picking. In relation to resources, we have to look at the various needs across the city and prioritise accordingly, hence an increase from 3 years ago to South Park. The bin allocation is led by Parks and they work in partnership with the Friends of Group, so they make any decisions.
