Sent to Stratford-on-Avon District Council and Warwickshire County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1589958.
Yesterday Sunday 31st March 2019 I was travelling with my young family in my Ford Smax from Pillerton Priors to Oxhill at approximately 9.05am. The public highway (road unnamed) off the a422 travelling towards the Kineton Road Oxhill has 3 cattle grids on it. It was the 2nd cattlegrid (located next to Nolands Farm CV35 0RJ) that had a broken metal part sticking up (as per images) that my car hit causing serious damage. On AA inspection this broken metal part from the cattle grid hit my sump causing a huge hole, oil flood and I am waiting to hear from garage as to the extent of the damage. The car was towed on a recovery truck as it could not be driven. I have retrieved the metal broken part off the cattlegrid and this is in my possession. I am very angry that this could has been a serious road accident with my young family. It is clear from the many images I took that this has not been maintained correctly by highways as the other metal section opposite is also missing. I use this road regulary to visit my parents (weekly) and this is a new issue present but as mentioned a second piece of cattlegrid is missing so I would suggest this is put as an urgent repair.
I will be persuing full compensation for the damage caused to my car.
I do have futher images of the road, a pin image on a Highways map of direct location, the dyer state of the cattlegrid (showing its clearly in bad state on both sides and in need of urgent repair). I have in my posession the large shard of metal that was sticking up from the broken cattlegrid that hit my sump and pictures of my car of the damage it has caused.
I await a prompt response of how I now claim compensation to all costs incurred.

This issue has not been fixed and the cattle grid is still missing both sides of the metal.
