Uneven footpath, tree roots exposed,

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 23:36, Sun 31 March 2019

Sent to Leicestershire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1589935.

Brand new estate with 192 new homes on. Builder has kindly made good exsisting pathway right up to council boundary. The 10 or so metres left are inaccessible for wheelchairs, pushchairs making it a very hazzadeous place to pass. Neighbours Holly bush that lines the pathway has encroached from its actually boundary fence by at least 2metres in places and has scratched an torn fabrics of residents. Pathway needs finishing up to Coventry road, to allow safe passage for all the new residents on this large estate as well as exsisting Broughton Astley residents that use the path from Coventry road end. Wheelchairs and pushchairs will tip against the tree roots exposed and the uneven levels. Please don’t let accidents that could cause serious injury, have to happen before anything is done about this.

  • Problem still there, no changes what’s so ever. No information coming back from designated council officer other than telling me it “Pending” for the last 5 weeks! Meanwhile the overgrowth of the footpath is in its element as it’s now completely overgrown again making the head space not more than 1ft wide in places. But don’t worry because it’s “pending” whatever that’s supposed to mean!! Complete waste of time

  • Pointless system wasting valuable resource and tax payers money. Offering a way for the public to access the areas of the council they need, but it’s all for show as nothing is actually done about the raised concern/complaint!
