Large stones obstructing the carriageway/footway
Reported anonymously at 19:12, Sun 31 March 2019
Sent to Kent County Council and Thanet District Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1589757.
The owner of the house on the corner of Fitzroy Avenue and Kingsgate Avenue has placed large stones immediately adjacent to the carriageway to discourage vehicles from cutting the corner from Fitzroy Avenue left into Kingsgate Avenue. These represent a danger not only to motorists but also to pedestrians at this badly lit spot

No action has been taken to remove these stones that obstruct the free passage along the highway.

Even more rocks have now been added, particularly on the corner. It would seem that, because Fitzroy Avenue is not maintained at the public expense, that Kent County Council are not prepared to take any action. The fact remains that the rocks are placed on the kerb and are a potential danger to motorists and pedestrians.

The stones are still there. It is only a question of time before someone trips over the stones or a car is damaged turning left out of Fitzroy Avenue. I just hope that any person who suffers sues the owner of the property on that corner of the road.

These are dangerous and provide a trip hazard during the evening to walkers. Please address this problem
